From the dawn of mankind, or otherwise known, in ancient broman times, bro's had to somehow make an outstanding impression on the ladies. Bro's have been forever on this quest to answer these fundamental questions that lie in our subconscious - How do you smoothly ask a girl out. An episode entitled "The Playbook" in season 5 of 'How I Met Your Mother' portrays Barnibus Stinson, the man who in fact wrote this ancient book and his prowess in womanising.
Glad you asked...'The Playbook' "contains every scam, con, hustle, hood-wink, Gambit, flimflam, strategam and bamboozle I have ever used or ever hope to use to pick up chicks and give them the the business" (Barney Stinson). The book progresses from simple manoeuvres to very complex ones. There's the basic moves like - "The Don't Drink That" or the more advanced manoeuvres like the "Mrs Stinsfire". Other moves includes "The Lorenzo Von Matterhorn", "The Cheap Trick", "The SNASA", "The He's Not Coming", "The Ted Mosby" and "The Scuba-diver". Whilst the episode is entirely comprised of these smaller tricks to get with girls, the main plot in fact, cleverly revolves around one trick called "The Scuba-diver" and as you would have guessed, Barnibus managed to ask her out in the end.
P.S. You can actually buy this book.
